day 55
A passage from a book that touched you:
“Not all those who wander are lost.” -The Fellowship of the Ring by J.R.R. Tolkien
I go back and forth between this quote and my current “everything may happen” quote by Seneca; this quote is also written up on my wall back home in Boston. For a very long time, I’ve known that I wanted to be a writer. I just don’t really...

THE FRUIT HERE IS DELICIOUS!
Never in my life have I eaten as much fruit as I am eating here now. Mmm, I just ate 4 satsuma fruits and 7 strawberries. The strawberries are so sweet! Tomorrow I’m going shopping for groceries because we received our food stipend today (: more mangoes, more green grapes, more satsuma fruit and strawberries! Had a pasty for lunch, too ♥
I love this country.

what's in a name?
My name means “alive.” There’s this song that I think of whenever I think of the meaning of my name. Here are some lyrics, from Tomorrow by Tablo (ft. Taeyang):
“사랑은 받는다고 갖는 게 시간은 걷는다고 가는 게 사람은 숨 쉰다고 사는 게 아닌데.”
Basically the last two lines translates to “breathing doesn’t mean you’re living.” You can be breathing but sitting at home, simply...

If you didn’t have an age, how old you think you are:
This question doesn’t really make any sense at all! A lot of people think I’m younger than I am (or the youngest child), but since I know myself pretty well, this answer is going to be biased, ahaha. I honestly think I’m a 20 year old. I can take care of myself in terms of cooking and cleaning, things like that, but I...

There’s a part that always hurts. It’s a mixture of ache and longing, or maybe it’s an ache that comes from the longing; you know what you want but you don’t know if you’ll get it. And that’s terrifying. But always, always, the good outweighs the bad.
And the good did outweigh the bad, at least it did for those few moments, and then you let me go without...

Why are you doing this challenge?
I like answering questions, for one, and I think it’s nice to do a little prompt like this a day. It also provides something that I wrote to my blog, which is mostly a variety of things I reblog.

CHOCOLATE
I won’t even try to deny that chocolate is heavenly, but I really never get chocolate cravings. If someone offers me chocolate, I’ll gladly accept it, but I never go out searching for chocolate. I really don’t.
WHICH IS WHY IT IS SO STRANGE THAT I HAVEN’T BEEN ABLE TO STOP THINKING ABOUT CHOCOLATE THIS WEEK.
Throwing on my hoodie (which I really need to wash after getting...

What was your last Halloween costume?
I was a pirate. My friends and I were planning to do a group ensemble as Greek goddesses, but we got lazy and it didn’t work out. I had a sheet that I ended up ripping too much so I just wore a white shirt, borrowed my roommate’s striped skirt and wore a pirate hat. Without the hat I would have been…a normal girl.

When was the last time you tried something new?
Oh gosh, I’ve been trying new things every day! Bath is a completely new experience for me. All I can think of right now is the Archer’s rum and lemonade combo I’ve adopted as my new favorite drink. I have yet to try Bath buns ): there’s a little cafe here that’s famous for them: Sally Lunn’s Bath Buns....
