Flowers!
I love flowers and when I get my own apartment I plan on filling them up with them! I went to the flower section at Shaws today and they smelled so good :)
Iris :) I love the contrast between the yellow and purple.
Tulips have always been my favorite. Yellow tulips, to be specific.

Roses are my least favorite. I just don’t...

Places I Want to Go
1) The Great Pyramids in Egypt. I saw some pictures after my friend came back and they are HUGE! I really wish I knew how they were created. People a long time ago were amazing.
2) Aran Islands, Ireland. I wanted to go here after I saw Leap Year. It wasn’t a very good movie, but the scenery was beautiful.
3) Stonehenge. I still cannot understand how in the world they came to be.

Things I Learned
I knew that I was going to learn a lot of things about myself and the world when I came to college and I have :) Here are 10 things:
1) I’m a stickler for spelling and “there, their, they’re.”
2) I can’t take alcohol well. At all. My face gets bright red, head starts to hurt and I get very quiet because I don’t want to snap at anyone. Even though I do get a...

Books!
I have a couple of books on my bookshelf that I haven’t gotten around to reading and I miss being super engrossed (so-into-it-that-I-can’t-put-it-down-even-if-I-get-3 hours-of-sleep engrossed!) in one.
Here’s my list for the next month:
- When We Were Romans (Matthew Kneale)
- South of the Border, West of the Sun (Haruku Murakami)
- The Edge of the Sea (Rachel Carson)
I...

Whale Bottle!
IS THIS THE CUTEST WATER BOTTLE IN THE WORLD OR WHAT?
Patrice and I go through so many plastic bottles (I was sort of disappointed in myself after I was collecting all of them for the recycling bin) that I realized I need one of these. And I want water to drink in class, too.
This is from ReUse It. It’s such a fun site! And a portion of the sales goes to Nature Conservancy. But...

"Knocked Down"
Last night, I heard the sound of the TV downstairs in the living room, so I head down to investigate (and bother my mom about sending her DVDs back so I can get Chuck). And yes, there she was, sitting with her blanket and the DVD menu for Eclipse (bleh!) on the television screen.
So I sit down beside her and ask, “So you finally finished it? Can we please send it back?” She had the...

Nightmare
I woke up at 10:30AM today, an hour and a half before my scheduled 12PM. Why? Because I had stupid, stinking nightmare. It’s been a long time since I had a nightmare and although I hate them, I never wish I didn’t have them because it gives me something to think about.
It was a very weird dream.
I was getting married to some guy I didn’t know very well. It was an arranged...

Hallelujah
by. Leonard Cohen
I’ve heard there was a secret chord That David played, and it pleased the Lord But you don’t really care for music, do you? It goes like this The fourth, the fifth The minor fall, the major lift The baffled king composing Hallelujah Hallelujah, hallelujah Hallelujah, hallelujah Your faith was strong but you needed proof You saw her bathing on the roof Her beauty in...

New Semester!
At the beginning of sophomore year, I felt that something would be different. I knew that something would be different. I’ve gotten to know so many new people, gotten closer to friends I already made, got to know people I wasn’t that close with. It’s always exciting to get to know somebody you weren’t that close with. It’s amazing just how different people are and how...

2011!
There’s still another hour and twenty minutes until the new year (except for those of you back home!) but I’ve decided to write this now. Maybe it’ll take me an hour and twenty minutes to write it.
1) Exercise more and eat better food. I’ve registered for spinning and this time I will attend, instead of just registering, never paying and never attending. I’ll work...
