Today a group of us ASE students went to the Cotswalds, “a ridge of limestone hills extending for about 70 miles from Bath north east towards Stratford-upon-Avon.”

We visited Broadway Tower; you can see four counties from the top of the tower, sort of like Four Corners. It was really windy but the skies were beautiful, which was fortunate because we walked a mile and a half into Broadway, where we boarded the bus to Bourton-on-the-Water. I finally had fish and chips! Maybe it’s just me, but I think it tastes much better in England (: ASE gave us £5 for our meal, which was nice (just like our food stipend, the money comes from our tuition fee, though). From Bourton-on-the-Water we made for Painswick, where we explored the Painswick Rococo Garden for about 2 hours. The garden is known for its snowdrop display, but I honestly wasn’t as impressed as I feel I should have been (nor were there as many snowdrops as in the site picture!). The lemon cake was more impressive than the snowdrop display…

The sunlight was streaming over the green hills on our way back (: it was beautiful.
